WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - The Wausau City Council returned to full strength Tuesday night when it appointed David Nutting to fill a vacancy.
Nutting will fill out the unexpired term of 10th district alderman Steve Foley, who resigned and moved to Florida in November.
The 10th district generally covers the west bank of the Wisconsin River.
Nutting briefly served on the Council in 2005, when he was appointed to fill out the unexpired term of then alderwoman Jodi Kraus. Nutting lost in the 2006 election to Foley.
Nutting beat out two other residents - Chuck Gering and Dan McMullen - for the post. He was sworn in after four rounds of voting.
