SALLISAW, Okla. (WTAQ) - A suspect in a Wisconsin murder that escaped from a transport van in Arkansas has been recaptured. 26-year-old Justin Welch was arrested around noon today on Interstate 40 in eastern Oklahoma. Authorities say Welch took a truck driver hostage, but was arrested without further incident. Welch was on his way back to Wisconsin to face charges in the murder of an Oconomowoc woman.

The Sallisaw Oklahoma police department confirms Welch's re-capturing. Welch escaped Wednesday around 2:45 a.m. after stabbing a private security company's guard and stealing his van during an unscheduled rest stop in Van Buren Arkansas.
