FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WTAQ) - John Denver is not exactly a hardcore rock legend. But a Fond du Lac man claimed he was “rocking out” to Denver’s folk and country mix, when he got a $210 ticket last week for being too loud. Somebody complained to the police. And an officer said he pounded on the door while the music was blaring. The man didn’t answer, so the patrolman got his name from a neighbor and called out to him. That’s when the door opened and the man got his citation. The late Denver is known for hits like “Rocky Mountain High” and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.”
