WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Marathon County library patrons will have to get their DVDs back to the library quicker under a new policy this year.
Library director Phyllis Christensen says that Movies and DVDs will now be checked out on a one week schedule. Due to an increased demand and growing wait times for movies, they made the change to help speed up the process by which movies get to other patrons.
Christensen says it's easy to get and watch and return a movie within that 7 day time frame, and that patrons shouldn't have a problem getting materials back to the library in that time. If a one week limit is too short for you, you can still request a renewal either online or over the phone, and if there's no one on a waiting list for your movie, you can keep on watching it.
The change doesn't affect box sets of TV series though. Christensen says those still have a two week limit, so that patrons can take the time to watch a whole season or so.
