Milwaukee, Wi (WSAU) Two more Milwaukee Brewers agreed to one-year contracts yesterday and avoided salary arbitration. Rickie Weeks will get 2.75 million dollars. That's $300,000 more than 2009. Centerfieder Carlos Gomez, who came to the Brewers from the Twins in the JJ Hardy deal also signed for 1.1 million.
The Brewers also swapped salary figures with the remaining 4 eligible players. Of the four, the biggest gap is with reliever Todd Coffey. Coffey filed for 2.45 million while the team filed a 1.7 million figure. A big gap also exists with outfielder Corey hart. the other two players are pitchers Dave Bush and Carlos Villanueva.
