CUDAHY, Wis (WSAU) The Emerald Ash Borer is spreading. For the first time, it’s been found in Cudahy in Milwaukee County.
A single ash borer was found in a trap set there. It’s the only one that’s ever been found in Milwaukee County. But state scientists say if only one ash borer has been found in a trap, there are bound to be more.
The ash borer has destroyed trees in Minnesota and Illinois, and in recent years it’s been spreading into Wisconsin. It’s already been found in Brown, Crawford, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Vernon and Washington counties.
