LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - La Crosse County authorities say they’ve narrowed their list of possible suspects in the murders of an elderly couple a month-and-a-half ago.

Sheriff’s captain Kurt Papenfuss remains confident that an arrest will be made in the slayings of 68-year-old Dennis Koula and his 65-year-old wife Merna.

They were found dead May 24th in their home in the La Crosse County town of Barre. Officials have not said how the couple was killed. Investigators say they’re still processing evidence.
