ANTIGO, Wis. (WTAQ) - The State Crime Lab is investigating what appear to be human remains that were found at a home building site about 4 miles west of Antigo.
Construction workers were digging to create a basement Monday when they found bones and apparent clothing items at the site on Highway 64. Langlade County Sheriff Bill Greening does not believe the remains are tied to any recent reports of missing persons – including Kayla Berg, a teenager from Antigo who’s been missing for 11 months.
Greening says it looks like the bones were in the ground longer than that. He says it’s possible they’re connected with a Native American burial ground in the area.
