Wausau names three superintendent finalists

WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) The Wausau Board of Education has named three finalists to be the next school superintendent. They've held interviews over the last two days.

The finalists are:

• Dr. Steve Patz – Superintendent, Franklin Public Schools in WI

• Dr. Michael Richie – Superintendent, Northland Pines School District in WI

• Dr. Kathleen Williams – Former Superintendent, East Maine School District #63 in IL

A final round of interviews will be held between August 2nd and 5th. And next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there will be public receptions for each of the superintendent candidates. Teachers, staff and parents will get to meet the finalists and ask questions. Those sessions will the in the Longfellow Education Center's community room at 7:45pm.

The school board is looking to replace Steve Murley, who became the new superintendent in Iowa City, Iowa earlier this month.
