WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) The second finalist to be the next Wausau school superintendent is scheduled to meet with the school board today. Dr. Michael Richie is currently the superintendent of the Northland Pines school district, which serves the Eagle River area in northern Wisconsin.
Richie's current district covers a large geographic area -- nearly 450 square miles. It's also has much smaller enrollment -- about 15-hundred students. Northland Pines successfully passed a 28-million dollar referendum, and used the money to build a new high school in 2006.
Dr. Richie will meet the public at 7-45 tonight at a question and answer session at the Longfellow Administration Building.
The final candidate -- Dr. Kathleen Williams from Illinois -- will visit Wausau on Wednesday.
