JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A man shot and killed in a dispute at an intersection in Janesville was identified Sunday as 30-year-old Samuel Aegerter.
Police said he was riding in the back seat of a Jeep when he was exchanged words with one of two motorcyclists next to him. The bikers followed the Jeep for a couple blocks, and one of them fired multiple shots into the vehicle.
Aegerter was hit in the neck, and nobody else in the vehicle was hurt. The apparent argument occurred late Friday night at a five-way intersection in downtown Janesville.
Aegerter died at a hospital about 1 a.m. Saturday. Police were still looking for the two bikers at last word. They were said to be in their 30’s or 40’s. Investigators also want to talk to those in a car directly behind the motorcyclists at the intersection.
