EAU CLAIRE, Wis (WSAU) The trial of a man accused of killing his girlfriend and dumping her body in Adams County has been called off because the defendant suffered a medical emergency in jail. The trial of Greg Gubernot was scheduled to start today.

The Eau Claire County Jail has refused to release details about the medical emergency, nor have the confirmed the inmate involved. Gubernot’s family told a local tv station that he’d been hospitalized.

Prosecutors claim Gubernot killed his girlfriend Teresa Still in Eau Claire last December, and then drove the body to a wooded area of Adams County.
