UNDATED (WSAU) A former patient who was fondled by a Marshfield gastroenterologist is filing a civil lawsuit. The woman, whose name is being withheld, claimed she was groped by Doctor Kevin Lang while she was sedated after a medical procedure.

Doctor Lang is no longer practicing medicine. He was removed from the staff at Marshfield Clinic after several patients filed complaints or went to police. His license has been suspended. He is also facing criminal charges.

This is at least the second lawsuit involving the case. The victim had also named Marshfield Clinic, Ministry Health Care, Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital and the Injured Patients And Families Compensation Fund as co-defendants.

Marshfield Clinic announced new procedures because of the incident, including having two staff members present when patients are under sedation.
