STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) – Stevens Point school administrators will explain their plans for a two-year, $7.1 million dollar referendum next month to voters Thursday night.

The district will host a presentation at 7 p.m. at P.J. Jacobs Junior High school.

We'll “keep it simple, tell people what's at stake...and what it's going to cost,” said superintendent Steve Johnson.

Johnson and other leaders have met with other community groups since the school board approved the referendum amount in late January.

“But we're always concerned that there may be people out there who have not been able to attend these other meetings,” Johnson said.

The referendum is April 6th.

A second community presentation is scheduled for March 16th at Ben Franklin Junior High.
