WAUSAU, Wi (WSAU) The Wausau West girls basketball team was down 14 to Marshfield with just over 4 minutes left and it looked bleak. But after a timeout the Warrior girls rallied to tie and send the game to overtime. West then did enough to pull out a 58-56 win and advance to the sectional championship game Saturday night against River Falls.

Jessica Waldvogel led West with 22 points, including six in the OT. Amanda Fischer scored 15 and Courtney Falk added 14. Andie Varsho and Kelsey Wiegel had 19 apiece for the Tigers.

Wisconsin Rapids came up short in their sectional game losing to Oshkosh West 44-27.
