MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - About 800 people attended a memorial service Tuesday for Joseph Zilber, the Milwaukee real estate tycoon who later gave away millions in his home town. The service was held at Marquette University. He had donated $30 million to Marquette’s law school for both building improvements and student scholarships. University president Father Robert Wild said the 92-year-old Zilber wanted to make a difference in students’ lives and help young people get ahead. Others described Zilber as bright, competitive, and generous to his family, friends, and community.
