CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A North Dakota man who’s accused of killing another man in Chippewa County is about to return to Wisconsin to face his criminal charges. 21-year-old William Ball of Minot is charged with intentional homicide and reckless injury.
Authorities said Ball shot and wounded his estranged wife Stephanie, and killed 24-year-old Kyle Ryba in an apparent act of jealousy. It happened April 3rd at home of Stephanie Ball’s father near Boyd.
Officials said William Ball fled to Minnesota after the incident – and he later turned himself into authorities in Stillwater, just on other side of the state border near Hudson. At a hearing, Ball said he would not fight extradition to Wisconsin – and Chippewa County officers were making arrangements to take him there.
