WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – The chief inspector of a Wausau polling place is reporting few complaints from a decision to relocate from the Rose Garden. Ron Roloff says voter turnout has been pretty steady at the River Drive complex.
The only confusion that Roloff had heard was from voters who showed up to the River Drive building but were supposed to cast ballots at Marathon Park. As of late afternoon, Roloff reported about 40 percent turnout.
The city moved its polling site from the Rose Garden because Republican congressional candidate Sean Duffy had rented out the facility for his election night party.
The polling place relocation applies to this election only.
