WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – The Marathon County SWAT team arrested several people this morning who refused to come out of an eastside Wausau apartment where two people had been injured in a fight.

Police got a call just after 1 a.m. about a disturbance between two people in the 1900 block of 5th Street. Eyewitnesses said a man and a woman had been assaulted and threatened with a weapon. The two suffered minor injuries but were not taken to the hospital.

The SWAT team got a search warrant and entered the apartment just after 7 a.m. using distraction devices.

No information was available as to the charges being filed or if more people will be charged. The investigation continues.
