UNDATED (WRN) Intense hunter dissatisfaction with the DNR's management practices will mean a lot less hunters in the woods next weekend. That prediction from state Representative Scott Gunderson.
The Racine County Republican says it's pretty intense, after many hunters were told to expect a large deer population last year, then went home empty-handed. Gunderson expects a big drop-off in the number of deer hunting licenses sold for the upcoming gun season, which starts on Saturday. He says hunters don't trust DNR management policies, after many of them didn't even see a deer during last year's gun season.
Gunderson is a longtime member of the Assembly Natural Resources Committee.
