WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A convicted sex offender will be released in Wausau later today. His name is 35-year-old Jason Ehrfurth. And twice before he's landed back in jail for violating the terms of his release.
He served nine years for a series of sexual assaults that date back to 1994.
In 2004 he was re-arrested for removing his electronic monitoring bracelet.
In 2009 he was sent back to jail for making unwanted sexual advances to a co-worker.
After being released today he'll live in transitional housing near downtown Wausau. He'll have to wear a G-P-S device and will be allowed to leave his home only for work and treatment. He'll also be required to keep his address on-file with the state's sex offender registry.
