CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - There was no plea, so the Chippewa County prosecutor says he is moving forward with the first-degree intentional homicide case against William Vollbrecht.
He's also facing a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Vollbrecht is accused of shooting Christopher Farmer to death as he slept.
The incident happened in the town of Lafayette May 13. Vollbrecht allegedly broke into Farmer's home, saw his ex-girlfriend sleeping with the victim, and shot him in the neck. He then tried to kill Tammy Clark, but was stopped by Chippewa County Sheriff's Deputy Ray Duncan.
Vollbrecht has pleaded not guilty.
