BELOIT, Wis. (WTAQ) - Police in Beloit failed to nab a murder suspect at a house Thursday night – but they did arrest two others who were wanted on felony warrants, and they got into a stand-off with the officers.
Police said they went to the house to arrest a suspect wanted for a recent slaying in Rockford Illinois. That person was nowhere to be found. And others in the house refused to surrender.
So the officers obtained a search warrant, and they returned with a SWAT team. They ended up using chemical munitions to get inside. Besides the 2 men wanted on warrants, 4 women were cited for obstructing the officers.
