SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Sheboygan County sheriff’s deputies have re-opened an investigation into a 2005 incident involving a man who allegedly killed another man at a tavern in Plymouth last month.
The Sheboygan Press tried to get information on the incident involving Frank Hvizdak of Glenbeulah 5 years ago. But officials refused to release it, saying it might relevant to the new case.
They said prior offenses might be used as “other acts” of evidence, and could shed light on Hvizdak’s character and behavior in the murder. No other information was released about the 2005 incident.
Hvizdak was not charged in that case. In the tavern shooting, authorities said the 63-year-old Hvizdak argued with 31-year-old Jason TenPas before shooting him to death. It happened August 31st at Racer’s Hall in Plymouth.
He pleaded not guilty earlier this month to a homicide charge. The newspaper said Hvizdak had a federal firearms’ license to run K and B Arms in the Sheboygan area from 1998 through early last year.
