WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) - The greater metro area of Wausau lost around 200 jobs last month according to new labor numbers released by the state. But total unemployment numbers are down one tenth of a percent to 8.2 percent.
But the city of Wausau itself is still ranked number three most unemployed in the state, with the city's unemployment rate holding steady at 11.7 percent. Beloit and Racine remain the top two cities at 16.3 percent and 14.2 percent unemployment respectively.
There are still about 14-hundred fewer people employed this August as there were a year ago.
