WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Nationwide Insurance is filing more information with the state about layoffs that were already announced in the Wausau area. The changes take effect in May.

The company told the State Department of Workforce Development that it will close its Westwood Drive facility by the end of July. 41 workers will be laid off, some of them starting next month. The layoffs were initially announced in February.

The remaining 100-or-so workers at the facility will transfer to the First American Center on 3rd Street by July 31st. Nationwide had said earlier that there are no additional layoffs planned among the remaining employees.
