WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) Wausau East varsity football coach Tom McCormick has resigned his coaching position. East athletic director Greg Harvey  confirms that McCormick submitted  his resignation yesterday and the job will be posted today. He says they hope to fill the position as soon as possible.

The Lumberjacks have won two games in the last three seasons.

McCormick took over the program in 2008.  He had previously been defensive coordinator with the team. He will remain as a math teacher and track coach at the school.
