WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Carrying alcohol outdoors will be o-k this year during a door-to-door art show in downtown Wausau. Last night the city council granted a waiver for Exhibitor, an annual art event hosted by Wausau Area Events. The event is June 24th.

During the event people go door-to-door at several downtown businesses to look at artwork that's for sale. The event has always included wine tasting. In past years, the wine had to be consumed indoors, and couldn't be carried from one store to another.

Some council members said a waiver would set a precedent for alcohol at other events. In the end, the voted 7-4 in favor of the waiver.
