URGENT: Video shows beheading of second American journalist

DUBAI (Reuters) - The Islamic State militant group released a video purporting to show the beheading of U.S. hostage Steven Sotloff, the SITE monitoring service reported on Tuesday. A masked figure in the video also issued a threat against a British hostage, a man the group named as David Haines, and warned governments to back off "this evil alliance of America against the Islamic State", the monitoring service said. More on the Mequon Double Murder

Mequon, Wis.(WHBL-Learfield) - A Mequon man, who allegedly killed his parents because his dad wouldn’t give him five-dollars for gas, got in trouble in a similar argument a year ago. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said police were called to Victor-and-Larissa Markov’s home in April of last year. The father was restraining Dennis Markov when officers arrived because he drank alcohol against house rules – and Victor feared violence after he said no to another request by his son for five-dollars. Dennis Markov pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct citation. He’s now 20. And he’s charged with two counts of homicide in last Sunday night’s slayings of his 45-year-old father and 39-year-old mother. Police got a call from Larissa Markov’s employer, the Alexian Village retirement home, asking them to check on her because she didn’t show up for work for two days. The Journal Sentinel quoted an officer in that phone call saying that Dennis Markov had quote, “a history of drugs and disorderly conduct within the last four years.” When officers went to the home, Dennis Markov reportedly said his parents were on vacation – but the officers later found their bodies in the garage. The son is being held under a one-million-dollar bond. He’s due back in Ozaukee County Circuit Court May 11th.
