STANLEY, Wis. (WTAQ) - The head of an ethanol plant in Stanley says the death of an employee appears to be from natural causes.
Chippewa County Coroner Ronald Patten said the worker, Paul Gulcynski, had no trauma on his body, and the death was medically-related.
The exact cause remains under investigation.
Neal Kemmet, the head of ACE Ethanol, said Gulcynski was helping to clean out a corn bin when he collapsed on Monday. Kemmer said his firm contacted the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration. He said the plant is cooperating with OSHA’s investigation.
ACE was Wisconsin’s first ethanol plant. It opened in 2002.
