BARABOO, WI (WTAQ) - Dozens of workers will soon lose their jobs between September and December as demolition and environmental cleanup efforts come to an end at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant.

87 people who were hired by either Baraboo-based Badger Technical Services or SpecPro will be laid off.

The companies say the employees were all hired for temporary work but they will provide information to the state about the lay offs in order for the state to help workers with dislocation assistance.

The plant made ammunition for World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam war.
