Weekly Standard: Rep. Ryan considering White House run

UNDATED (WSAU) There’s a report in The Weekly Standard that Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan is considering a run for the White House. There’s been no confirmation from the Janesville Republican. He'd said 'no' to a presidential run a week ago. He’s currently on vacation with his family in Colorado.

Stephen Hayes writes that Ryan is "strongly considering a run for president." The report says Ryan has been quietly meeting with political strategists over the past three months, and is now discussing the possibility with his wife and children.

Former Presidential advisor Karl Rove said on the Fox News “Sean Hannity” TV said, "I think [New Jersey Governor] Chris Christie and Paul Ryan are going to look at it again ... I'm starting to pick up some sort of vibrations that ... Christie and Ryan [are telling] the people who are calling them, 'You know what, I owe it to you, I'll take a look at it.'”

As recently as August 7th, Ryan said he was not running. Speaking on Fox News Sunday, he told interviewer Chris Wallace: "My answer is still no....My answer is still the same as it always has been the last time you asked me."
