WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Habitat for Humanity of Wausau is opening their new supply store to the public tomorrow.
The retail outlet will sell donated, reclaimed and overstock furniture and construction supplies. Spokeswoman Pat McMurtrie says the retail facility is a good deal for people looking to renovate their home. “It's cheaper, it's more cost effective to buy used.”
Items at the store will range anywhere from 5 dollars to as much as 1,000 dollars for antiques and other items. McMurtrie says the money earned at the store goes right to Habitat, and their efforts at home building for low income families. “We already have our 53rd house lined up. We've got a lot picked out and are in the process of purchasing it.”
The store opens tomorrow at 9am at 500 South 38th Avenue in Wausau. It will then be open every Saturday from 9am to 1 pm.
