(Dearborn, MI) -- John Dingell is planning to run for a 30th term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Yesterday, the 84-year-old Democrat from Dearborn said he's raising funds for a re-election bid in 2012. He has served in the House since he was 29 years old, when he took over his father's seat. In the 2010 election, he was challenged by Republican Rob Steele. Dingle follows Harrison Township Republican and former Michigan Secretary of State Candice Miller as the second member of Michigan’s delegation to the U.S. House to announce a run for re-election days after beginning a new term.
