WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – The Wausau city council is entering the internet age by hosting videos of the city council meeting online.
Right now there’s a live feed of those council meetings on the public access channels online, but Mayor Jim Tipple says that doesn’t reach everyone. “Some people don’t have cable, some people have a dish, and this is a way to make sure they’re able to watch these videos.”
Right now there won’t be a backlog of videos to show, but you’ll be able to see the latest council meeting until a new one is posted. Tipple says the city is still refining the process. “Eventually we may post more but this is what we’ve got working for now.”
The videos will go online the day after the meeting is held from a link under the city government tab on the home page.
