COLBY, Wis. (WSAU) – What started as a routine traffic stop Tuesday for a stop sign violation and an obstructed license plate led Colby-Abbotsford police to find six kilos of cocaine.
Police arrested 18-year-old Jesse Galaviz of El Monte, California. He is being held in the Clark County jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
Police discovered the drugs in a backpack in Galaviz’s Ford pickup with the help of D’Jango, the department’s canine.
The cocaine has an estimated street value of $600,000. Police are not sure where the drugs were headed.
