ELDERON, Wis (WSAU) Marathon County sheriffs deputies arrested a man who was carrying a handgun while drunk on a bicycle on Tuesday night. They went to Elderon after getting a report that a man pointed a gun at a neighbor and made threats.
They found 64-year-old Roy Garvin riding a bicycle on Elm Road. He was riding with a 44-calibre handgun in a holster. He was having trouble talking and appeared glassy-eyed. Deputies took him to the hospital to have blood drawn, and then charged him with firearm possession while intoxicated.
Garvin appeared in Marathon County court yesterday afternoon.
