CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WTAQ) - Wisconsin native and national diplomat Lawrence Eagleburger has died at the age of 80.
He was a senior foreign policy adviser to several presidents and served 42 days as U.S. Secretary of State at the close of George Bush's term.
He died yesterday in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Eagleburger was a Republican who rose to prominence as the top aide to Henry Kissinger in the Nixon and Ford administrations.
