WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Wausau Area Events is moving its summer kick off a week from Friday to give the 400 Block time to cure before the full event season starts.

The kick off will now be held at Oak Island Park. The event features food vendors, an outdoor movie, live music and craft areas for kids. It starts at 5 p.m. The movie will air at dusk.

Local officials will formally dedicate the 400 Block on June 20th. The popular Concert on the Square series starts June 22nd.
