WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) –The Splash Pad in Marathon Park will be closed for at least two weeks because of some storm damage.

The county parks department said wind knocked a 40-foot oak tree over onto the pump house, destroying its roof and damaging the filters, pumps and electrical systems.

The systems filter and circulate the water that sprays from the fixtures on the splash pad.

The department has also canceled the Dog-Gone Pool Party that was scheduled for Sunday.
