WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) The group '40 Days for Life' will sue Marathon County after the library would not allow the movie 'Blood Money' to be shown in a library meeting room The suit will probably be filed today.
An attorney for Marathon County said meeting space was offered across the street at 210 River Driver instead. The group turned down that offer.
Library Director Dan Illick said showing the movie would lead to protests and could disrupt regular library operations. The film deals with the finances of groups that provide abortion services. A lawyer for '40 days for life' says there's no evidence that protests were being planned, and that the library violated its own rules against censorship in cancelling the meeting-room reservation.
