WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Wausau area teachers and community leaders are hoping to keep Wausau schools on the cutting edge of learning with a conference this week.
Educators and local officials hope to help program and map out how the district will keep offering high quality education to students. District spokesperson Mary Ellen Marnholtz says students will need to be able to work with basic educational goals like reading, critical thinking and mathematics.
One hundred and eighty parents, staff, students, and community members will be taking part. The conference runs through Thursday, and is sponsored by the Community Foundation and the Wausau Schools Foundation.
