WESTON, Wis (WSAU) A local religious group has gathered enough signatures to force a referendum on the future of bus service in Weston. The group NAOMI gathered at least 900 valid signatures. 741 were needed.
The Weston village board will take up the issue on Monday.
The board voted earlier this year to stop funding MetroRide route K in 2012. If the board decides not to reverse the decision, the issue would go to referendum.
