UNDATED (WSAU) – Thousands are still without power following the first winter snowstorm yesterday.
As of 3 p.m., Wisconsin Public Service’s Web site showed 2,318 customers in the dark in its service area. Just 723 customers did not have power in Stevens Point. Only a few were without power in Antigo, Waupaca, and Wausau.
Alliant Energy still had 121 customers in Marathon County and 18 customers in Wood County in the dark.
And about 3,000 Central Wisconsin Electric Co-op customers were in the dark as of 2 p.m.. Those outages were focused in Marathon, Portage, Shawano and Waupaca counties. The lights may not come back on until tomorrow for some of those customers.
