Get a Glimpse of Darkness & Danger in New 'Snow White and the Huntsman' Banner

Next summer's Snow White and the Huntsman promises to be quite a ways from a traditional retelling of the classic fairytale/Disney staple. It starts out familiar enough: Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is the ""fairest of them all,"" and her none-too-mentally-stable evil step-mother (Charlize Theron), who also happens to be the tyrannical queen of the woodlands, sets out to dispose of her in order to claim the title of ""fairest"" in the eyes of her talking mirror. Seriously, she doesn't bother asking anybody else their opinion. One word from a sheet of glass and she's committed to murdering her own step-daughter.

But here's where the story takes a veer: this time around, Snow White fights back. Wise to her matriarch's despicable machinations, Snow White begins training with the titular Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), the very individual who was hired by the Queen to kill her. But if a renegade revenge story isn't modern enough for you, there's also the possibility of a love triangle when the prince (Sam Claflin) comes into the picture. He is quite taken with Snow White, but you can bet that there's something going on between her and her mixed martial arts teacher, as well.

Snow White and the Huntsman is directed by Rupert Sanders. And don't worry...it may be a whole different take, but there are still dwarfs.
