MERRILL, Wis. (WSAU) – A Tripoli man has admitted breaking into a series of hunting cabins in the Northwoods and stealing dozens of animal mounts.
Kyle Linder will be sentenced February 2nd on burglary and theft charges. Prosecutors dismissed some of the other charges Lindner had faced but Judge Glenn Hartley can consider them at sentencing.
Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies arrested Lindner in June after he tried to sell one of the mounts to an undercover officer.
At the time, the sheriff’s office said it had recovered nine deer shoulder mounts and eight deer antler mounts as well as other animal rugs and mounts.
