MADISON, Wis. (WHBL) - Wisconsin Democrats have filed a complaint about Governor Scott Walker’s new Web site which shows how much taxpayers have saved with his budget changes. The state Democratic Party told the Government Accountability Board that Walker illegally used tax money to put up a Web site that should be funded by his election campaign. The Web site was posted yesterday, about three weeks before Democrats start a petition drive to try-and-recall the Republican governor early next year. The Web site shows how communities and school districts have saved money because of his fiscal policies – including the limits on public union bargaining, and making public employees pay more toward their pensions and health insurance. Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said his office met with the Accountability Board, and was told that information was okay to post at taxpayer expense. Werwie said the information is the same as what Walker has been talking about for the last few months.
