FOND du LAC, Wis (WSAU) A high school teacher from Fond du Lac was struck and killed while riding a bicycle just days after being sentenced for having sexual contact with a student. The incidents appear to be unrelated.

36-year-old Eugene Henry Dennis died at a Milwaukee hospital. He was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his bike on Sunday.

Last Friday a judge sentenced him to 6-months in jail and thee years probation for having sexual contact with a 16-year-old student.

The driver is a 22-year-old who's being held in the Fond du Lac county jail.
