WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – A 25-year-old Wausau woman has been charged with kicking a police officer and spitting in his face.
Angela Fredrick is accused of kicking Officer Matt Krembs in the knee as he arrested her on Wednesday. Fredrick was banging her head against the divider in Krembs' squad car en route to the jail. He pulled over and tried to restrain her when she spit in his face. Fredrick told Krembs she has hepatitis C.
Police were investigating a report that Fredrick and her boyfriend had been fighting. They arrested her on a probation hold because they suspected she had been drinking.
A preliminary hearing on battery to police and expelling bodily fluid charges will be held October 10th.
Fredrick remains in jail on the probation hold. If she is released on that hold, she must sign a $15,000 bond.
