STEVENS POINT, Wisc (WSAU) The 11th annual nativity lighting was last night in Stevens Point. Several dozen attended and sung Christmas carols.
Unlike in other cities, there's no controversy about a religious display on public land. The nativity is on the grounds of the Knights of Columbus Hall - which is private property.
By tradition the image of Baby Jesus doesn't appear in the manger until Christmas Eve.
